Abuja Food Creator Attempts Guinness World Record for Most Restaurants Visited in 24 Hours

Brian Nwana, a food content creator based in Abuja, is taking on an ambitious challenge: breaking the Guinness World Record for the most fast food restaurants visited in a single day.

Nwana’s attempt, dubbed the “Brian Abuja Food Quest,” will take place on April 24th-25th, 2024. He aims to surpass the current record of 100 restaurants, set by Airrack in New York City in December 2023, by visiting at least 120 establishments within 24 hours.

Driven by a desire to showcase Nigerian cuisine and promote Abuja’s food scene, Nwana hopes his quest will achieve several goals:

  • Highlight the diversity of Nigerian food: Nwana wants to bring attention to the vast array of culinary options available in Nigeria.
  • Support Abuja’s food businesses: He sees this attempt as a way to boost the visibility of local restaurants struggling in the current economic climate.
  • Give back to the community: Nwana plans to collaborate with participating restaurants to provide free meals to those in need.

Nwana has a strong following within the Nigerian food and entertainment industry, thanks to his restaurant reviews across various Nigerian states.

The quest is also supported by a team committed to following Guinness World Record guidelines, including live tracking and mapping. They’ve even extended an invitation to Abuja residents to cheer Nwana on during his record-breaking attempt.
