Buga Blowout: Kizz Daniel and Tekno Trade Insults Over Hit Song
Nigerian music titans Kizz Daniel and Tekno are embroiled in a fiery public dispute over their smash collaboration, “Buga.”
The drama unfolded after an interview, now believed to be fabricated, claimed Tekno received a staggering one billion Naira (roughly $2.4 million USD) from Kizz Daniel for his contribution to “Buga.”
Tekno vehemently denied the claim, throwing shade at Kizz Daniel’s financial situation with a comment that translates to “He doesn’t have that kind of money.” He further blasted whoever created the fake interview with a rather colorful curse.
Kizz Daniel wasn’t taking the bait silently. He fired back, suggesting the song revitalized Tekno’s career (“the ekuke we rescued with Buga”) and using some choice words to describe Tekno himself.
Tekno wasn’t finished though. He retorted, implying Kizz Daniel is only relevant because of the current controversy and issued a veiled threat, referencing “breeze blowing” and exposed inadequacies.
While the true financial breakdown of “Buga” remains unclear, one thing is certain: the previously harmonious collaboration has turned sour.
