We wrote about seven spring trends<\/a>, and a bunch of readers have requested a summer version. Of course, it doesn\u2019t really matter \u2014 life is short, wear whatever! \u2014 but I figured we\u2019d share for those who find it fun. Here are eight summer trends to look out for\u2026<\/p>\n

1. Oversized button-downs.<\/strong> As an anchor piece, I always have an MVP lightweight shirt to throw on over swimsuits\/shorts\/skirts all summer, and this linen number<\/a> comes in 15 colors.<\/p>\n

2. White midi skirts.<\/strong> They\u2019re definitely having a moment. Last night, I was sitting outside playing gin rummy at a bookstore (as one does lol), and so many women were wearing pretty white skirts. They can get surprisingly expensive, but this 100% organic cotton one<\/a> is only $50.<\/p>\n

3. Track shorts.<\/strong> Track shorts<\/a> are forever cool and sporty for summer adventures. Also: scalloped<\/a>!<\/p>\n

4. Blockprint anything.<\/strong> A few years ago, we visited friends on Fire Island<\/a>, and I wore the same blockprint cover-up with bare feet all weekend. Bliss! Now block prints are popping up even more than usual. How gorgeous are these pieces<\/a> in a lilac print? These brown pants<\/a> are great, too. (Emerson Fry<\/a> also makes beautiful ones, and SZ Blockprints\u2019 disco pants<\/a> are fun.)<\/p>\n

5. Jumbo ric-rac.<\/strong> The perfect dinner dress! Just add sexy sandals and salty hair. This one<\/a> is so pretty and comes in a short version<\/a>, too.<\/p>\n

6. Leather flip flops:<\/strong> I went to a fashion party the other day, and everyone was wearing black leather flip flops. Reviewers say this pair<\/a> is super comfy, so I\u2019m curious to try them. Also, thoughts on jelly flip flops<\/a>?<\/p>\n

7. Matching sets:<\/strong> The summer equivalent of a jumpsuit \u2014 one and done. These beautiful sets<\/a> are bonkers expensive, but you can also find cute ones here<\/a>, here<\/a>, and here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

8. A sexy swimsuit.<\/strong> Okay, a sexy swimsuit isn\u2019t exactly a trend<\/em>, but Andie Swim<\/a> is a CoJ reader favorite, and once I tried their suits, I could see why. It\u2019s rare that I put on a swimsuit and immediately feel good, but that\u2019s how I felt with every style I tried. This summer, I\u2019ll be wearing their cross-back one-piece<\/a> and this suit with buttons<\/a>.<\/p>\n
