ER-100 is designed to rejuvenate those cells so that they work again and restore sight.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">It is the first ever cellular rejuvenation therapy using this technology to receive FDA clearance to enter human clinical trials, and hence the first chance to test whether the technology can \u201cameliorate human disease,\u201d according to Life Biosciences co-founder and professor of Genetics at Harvard Medical School, David Sinclair.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Aging biology \u2013 understanding how the body\u2019s cells and functions deteriorate over time \u2013 is at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/aging-might-not-be-inevitable-wired-health-venki-ramakrishnan\/\" class=\"text link\">root of longevity science<\/a>. ER-100 is the focus of major interest across biotech for its potential to reverse cellular aging.
