That doesn\u2019t look to be changing, with the company no longer working with its long-term media relations firm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/poplargroup.com\/\">Poplar Group<\/a> has represented Trump Mobile since at least last June, when the company\u2019s founding partner Chris Walker gave a statement to <em><a href=\"https:\/\/eu.usatoday.com\/story\/tech\/2025\/06\/25\/trump-cell-phone\/84360157007\/\">USA Today<\/a><\/em>, insisting at the time that \u201cT1 phones are proudly being made in America.\u201d That, of course, is not true, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/tech\/943852\/trump-phone-made-in-the-usa-ftc-assembled-china\">even Trump Mobile now admits<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">I\u2019ve spoken to Walker a few times, and he offered to expedite the delivery of <em>The Verge<\/em>\u2019s two T1 Phone orders, though we\u2019re still waiting. This week, he told me that his team \u201cis not assisting Trump Mobile any further.\u201d He didn\u2019t know if the company had retained a new PR firm in Poplar\u2019s place.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">Perhaps with the phone now launched, the company doesn\u2019t think it needs to put up with the press any longer. Of course, the extent of that launch remains unclear: A handful of media have the phone, and there are at least a couple of people on <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@pissed_off_patriot1776\/posts\/116654092862762825\">Truth Social<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/areoinfo\/status\/2065958934918438994\">X<\/a> who seem to be genuine buyers, but that\u2019s about it so far.
