You can stop sharing your location on the same People<\/strong> tab by tapping on the relevant person and choosing Stop Sharing My Location<\/strong>. You can quickly stop sharing with everyone by selecting the Me<\/strong> tab and turning off Share My Location<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

How to Share Your Location Using Facebook Messenger<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

If you are already chatting to the person or group you want to send your location to in Facebook\u2019s popular Messenger app, then you can share your location right there without exiting it. This works on Android<\/a> and iOS<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Open Messenger and select the relevant conversation with the person or people you want to share your location with.<\/li>\n
  2. Tap the Options<\/strong> icon (plus) at the bottom left, then the Location<\/strong> icon (arrow).<\/li>\n
  3. You may be prompted to grant the Messenger app location privileges.<\/li>\n
  4. Tap Start sharing live location<\/strong> or if you\u2019d rather share a static point, search for it in the search bar or tap the location pin at the bottom right and drag the map to place it where you want, then tap Send location<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  5. When you choose to share your live location, it is shared for one hour, and you will see the option to Stop Sharing<\/strong> with a countdown clock next to it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    How to Share Your Location Using WhatsApp<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

    If the person or people you want to share with use WhatsApp, it\u2019s easy to share your location with them. This is available on both Android<\/a> and iOS<\/a>.<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Open WhatsApp and select the Chats<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n
    2. Choose the person or group you want to share with.<\/li>\n
    3. On an iPhone, tap the plus icon at the bottom left. On an Android phone, tap the paperclip icon at the bottom right.<\/li>\n
    4. Choose Location<\/strong>. You may have to tap Continue<\/strong> and Allow<\/strong> to give WhatsApp access to your location data.<\/li>\n
    5. Click Send Your Current Location<\/strong> for a snapshot of where you are now, or Share Live Location<\/strong> to share your real-time position as you move around for the period you specify (from 15 minutes up to 8 hours).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      How to Use Emergency SOS on an iPhone<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

      Apple\u2019s iPhone has a feature called Emergency SOS. When triggered, it sends a text message and shares your location with your emergency contacts.<\/p>\n
