Sony is delaying the launch of its FlexStrike fight stick controller for PS5 and PC, which had been set to launch on August 6th, to an unspecified date in the future. The company blames the delayed launch on \u201cunexpected production delays.\u201d The original planned launch of the FlexStrike would have lined up with the release date<\/a> of Marvel T\u014dkon: Fighting Souls<\/em>, a Marvel-themed fighting game developed by Arc System Works that PlayStation is publishing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe wanted to share an update on the launch timing for FlexStrike wireless fight stick,\u201d Sony says in an update<\/a> to a PlayStation blog post about the controller and other accessories. \u201cDue to unexpected production delays, FlexStrike wireless fight stick will launch at a later date. We will share an update soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The FlexStrike costs $199.99, comes with a sling carry case, and includes a built-in rechargeable battery. The controller includes familiar PlayStation buttons, but they\u2019re laid flat, like you\u2019d experience with a fighting game at an arcade or with other fighting stick peripherals.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
