Ahead of Ferrari announcing its quarterly earnings on Thursday, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/11ac28b0-0c82-4d4a-bcb4-0e0dae44cf87?syn-25a6b1a6=1\"><em>Financial Times<\/em><\/a> reports that Ferrari was aiming to sell \u201cjust under 500\u201d Luce units this year, and reached that target this month.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">Luce sales so far were reportedly driven by \u201cstrong demand from China,\u201d where EV sales <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/768915\/the-scale-of-chinas-ev-program-is-mind-boggling\">have already taken off<\/a> from makers like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/transportation\/873408\/geely-zeekr-lynk-co-test-drive-china\">Geely, Lynk &amp; Co, and Zeekr<\/a>. The <em>Financial Times<\/em> says Ferrari was trying to \u201creach a new generation of wealthy buyers\u201d with the Luce, particularly in China and \u201ctech hubs like Silicon Valley,\u201d adding that their sources say US tech entrepreneurs have had \u201cpositive\u201d feedback on the \u20ac550,000 EV.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">Long term, Ferrari is reportedly hoping to sell around 2,500 Luce units by 2030, or roughly 600 each year, making up about 5 percent of the company\u2019s annual sales.
