As <a href=\"https:\/\/gizmodo.com\/nasas-curiosity-rover-finds-a-vast-sea-of-strange-honeycomb-patterns-on-mars-2000792909\"><em>Gizmodo<\/em><\/a> reports, Curiosity has snapped pictures of the unusual terrain texture before, called polygonal fractures, each about 1.5 to 3 inches wide, but NASA says it\u2019s previously only found them in small patches, \u201cnothing on the scale discovered in Valle Grande.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">Curiosity captured a 360-degree panorama of the \u201csea of polygons\u201d on June 19th and 20th (Martian sols 4,930 and 4,931) that shows the texture spreading out in all directions.
