As part of a series of updates to reduce the volume of AI slop on the platform, LinkedIn is introducing an actual button that lets you flag a post as something that \u201cSeems like AI slop.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">The new feature is part of a broader push to reduce the volume of apparent AI slop on the platform. AI detector Pangram <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pangram.com\/blog\/ai-in-your-feed?ref=404media.co\">recently found<\/a> that 41 percent of longform LinkedIn posts were flagged as being completely generated by AI, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.404media.co\/linkedin-and-x-are-flooded-with-ai-spam-browsing-data-suggests\/\">as reported by <em>404Media<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">\u201cAI slop is a top priority for all of us,\u201d chief product officer Hari Srinivasan says <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/hsrinivasan1_ai-slop-is-a-top-priority-for-all-of-us-activity-7488612009660346374-xZiY?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=member_desktop&amp;rcm=ACoAAAIV1iYBHi7OPybalzIKilWBO4bTY5vJb8c\">in a post<\/a>. \u201cWe really care about this.\u201d In addition to the button to report a post as seemingly being AI-generated, LinkedIn is also ramping up new classifiers to identify \u201cif a post is AI-slop or generally low-quality content,\u201d which will \u201creduce the amount of AI slop you might see in suggested content and content from outside your network.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">I\u2019m currently seeing the new report button in the three-dots menu on posts. When I click it, LinkedIn hides the post and shows a message thanking me for my feedback.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">The new button will help LinkedIn \u201ctune our models and make better feeds,\u201d Srinivasan says.
