Google is set to host its next live Made by Google hardware launch event on August 12th, and the company says in a new video<\/a> that comedian Trevor Noah will be hosting the show.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The video indicates that the event will feature other celebrities and influencers as well, including Call Her Daddy<\/em> host Alex Cooper (who was at the 2025 event), Indian cricketer Shubman Gill (who has starred in Pixel<\/a> ads<\/a>), Japanese actress Ayami Nakajo (who has also starred in Pixel<\/a> ads<\/a>), and NBA star \/ Google Performance Advisor<\/a> Stephen Curry. (Cooper and Noah are also bringing shows to YouTube<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Jimmy Fallon hosted the show last year, an event that my colleague Victoria Song described as<\/a> more like \u201ca live taping of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon<\/em>\u201d than a traditional tech launch event. Given the celebrity faces set to appear at this year\u2019s event, it seems that Google is once again aiming to reach a more mainstream audience. It\u2019s also airing right at the end of the ET workday: the event, which takes place in New York City, starts at 6PM ET.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As for the gadgets you can expect, Google\u2019s event teaser video features brief glimpses of a new phone and smartwatch, and the company has previously shown teases of the Pixel 11 Pro<\/a> and Pixel 11 Pro Fold<\/a>. There are a bunch of leaked<\/a> images<\/a> and specs<\/a> of the upcoming hardware floating around, too. However, if you\u2019re thinking about picking up one of Google\u2019s new gadgets, you should be prepared for a higher price tag<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
