Apple has since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/newsroom\/2026\/09\/get-ready-to-experience-iphone-18-pro-the-new-apple-watch-lineup-and-airpods-5\/\">updated recent press releases<\/a> to state that those controls will only be available for \u201cphotos captured on iPhone 18 Pro models and the Ultra Wide, Main, and Center Stage cameras on iPhone Duo.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/ca.marketscreener.com\/news\/apple-get-ready-to-experience-iphone-18-pro-the-new-apple-watch-lineup-and-airpods-5-ce785bdfdf8ef62d\">original version of a September 11th release<\/a>, which was issued the day before the latest versions of the iPhone and Apple Watches became available for preorder, is still available in its original form on other websites with a footnote specifying that the new \u201ctexture and grain controls in Photographic Styles will be available on iOS 27 on iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Duo.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\"><em>The Verge<\/em> has reached out to Apple for clarification on how the feature is supposed to work on older phones but did not immediately get a response.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/tech\/998874\/apple-iphone-18-pro-ios-27-camera-texture-grain-photographic-style\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Apple\u2019s new texture and grain controls for stylizing photos will be more limited on older phones than initially expected.
