{"id":9059,"date":"2026-10-21T03:54:20","date_gmt":"2026-10-21T03:54:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/silvybrand.com\/?p=9059"},"modified":"2026-10-21T03:54:20","modified_gmt":"2026-10-21T03:54:20","slug":"spacex-q3-2026-earnings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/silvybrand.com\/?p=9059","title":{"rendered":"SpaceX says big AI growth fueled revenue jump"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">SpaceX announced revenues of $14.6 billion in <a href=\"https:\/\/ir.spacex.com\/files\/content_files\/SpaceX-Reports-Third-Quarter-2026-Results.pdf\">its Q3 earnings on Tuesday<\/a>, which it says was a growth of 161 percent year-over-year \u201cfueled by our Super Intelligence (SI) segment and accelerated growth in Connectivity.\u201d While its Space division posted a $7 million loss in income from operations, its Connectivity group posted income from operations $2.4 billion and its SI group posted $431 million.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">The company\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/ai-artificial-intelligence\/1009406\/silicon-valley-is-falling-in-line-with-trumps-attempt-to-rename-ai\">so-called \u201cSI\u201d business<\/a> saw revenues of $7.6 billion, which were up 830 percent year-over-year, \u201cprimarily driven\u201d by \u201cthe activation of new cloud services agreements, the acquisition of Cursor, and increased Grok adoption across enterprise customers and consumers.\u201d For its Connectivity business, SpaceX reported revenues of $5.2 billion and 13.6 million Starlink consumer subscribers. Space business revenues were $1.8 billion, up six percent year-over-year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">During the Q2 earnings call, president Gwynne Shotwell described plans to build out a terrestrial mobile network to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/science\/975480\/spacex-mobile-terrestrial-cellphone-company\">compete with T-Mobile, AT&amp;T and Verizon<\/a>.
