Susan Li, Meta\u2019s chief financial officer, added during an earnings call that the new class of shares will \u201cexpand our funding tools and give us flexibility to invest behind the unprecedented momentum we\u2019re seeing across every part of our business driven by AI.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">Meta has poured <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2025\/1\/24\/24351061\/mark-zuckerberg-meta-ai-data-center-investment\">billions of dollars into the AI race<\/a> as it builds (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/869008\/meta-data-centers-ad-campaign\">and promotes<\/a>) sprawling data centers, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/ai-artificial-intelligence\/703929\/meta-openai-anthropic-superintelligence-lab-ai-poaching-money\">poaches top talent<\/a> from other companies like OpenAI, and builds AI models capable of rivaling those from other tech giants.
