It consists of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/tag\/robotics\/\" class=\"text link\">robotics<\/a>, AI agents, and modular <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/tag\/data-centers\/\" class=\"text link\">data centers<\/a>, with Nvidia unsurprisingly powering it all.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">\u201cTo be part of this AI economy, you don\u2019t want to just be consuming the AI. You want to be producing the AI,\u201d he told the 4,000-strong crowd at Nvidia\u2019s GTC. \u201cWe can do all of that here in Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">The last GTC, held in San Jose, California, in March, was all about AI inference and more efficient compute. Seven months later, the focus has switched to power, agents, and physical AI. There were even some cute little Microduck robots\u2014made by recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/nvidias-hugging-face-acquisition-is-a-dollar129-billion-bet-on-open-source-ai\/\" class=\"text link\">Nvidia acquisition Hugging Face<\/a>\u2014doing Huang\u2019s bidding at the end of his 90-minute pitch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/nvidia-hardware-is-eating-the-world-jensen-huang\/\" class=\"text link\">Huang\u2019s<\/a> first big announcement was a modular \u201cAI factory\u201d called the DSX Pod. It is a \u201cplug-and-play\u201d option for building AI data centers, with everything arriving already assembled in a large metal container and packed with Nvidia\u2019s latest Vera Rubin compute racks. It can be brought online in 14 days, instead of taking months or years to construct. That may come in especially handy in Europe, where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/europe-squeeze-power-energy-grid-ai-data-center\/\" class=\"text link\">infrastructure projects<\/a> are notoriously slow. Huang said the DSX Pod would also slash the amount of time compute sits idle in a data center as it will come online quicker. \u201cThis is a complete transformation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">The speech, delivered at Berlin\u2019s Tempodrom, a venue inspired by a circus tent with the lighting of a gamer\u2019s den, veered between selling laptops and sweeping predictions, with Nvidia presented as the fundamental technology provider to every industry. At one point, two Greenpeace protesters stood up and unfurled a banner reading \u201cClean up your dirty business.\u201d Huang told his security team to \u201cGo easy\u201d as they were marched out.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Humanoid robotics will be the \u201cnext great industry,\u201d Huang said, arguing that Europe was well-placed to lead on it due to its manufacturing heritage. But physical AI goes way beyond robotics, Huang pointed out, explaining that even telecom operators are adding Nvidia GPUs to their cell towers. He also announced partnerships with European carmakers VW and Mercedes on AVs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Nvidia is making a similar move in humanoid robotics, with Huang announcing the launch of a full-stack robotics platform to standardize configuration. It also plans to release a preconfigured reference robot, Agile One, available in the first quarter of next year, to help developers start building physical AI systems. \u201cThis is your great opportunity,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">On model usage, Huang predicted: \u201cEvery company in the future will use both closed models as well as open models that you customize.\u201d He showcased Nvidia\u2019s own open-source models as hitting frontier performance once customized on an organization\u2019s proprietary data.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">He also predicted that agents would mean there will be more users of software tools than ever before, and said agents\u2019 reasoning, iteration, and tool use are pushing token consumption and demand for computing\u2014and Nvidia GPUs\u2014higher.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">In case the 90-minute speech was too technical, it ended with an AI-generated Eurovision song summing up what Huang had just announced.
