\u201cI used to send flowers to friends and relatives for their birthdays or after they had babies. But you never know how fresh or full the bouquet will be, and they don\u2019t last long anyway. So, for a thank-you present or special gift, I now send a garlic braid<\/a>. I discovered them thanks to a long-time reader whose family farm<\/a> makes them. Garlic, of course, can be used in so many recipes, and the braids look pretty hanging in the kitchen.\u201d \u2014 Caroline Chambers<\/a>, cookbook author and newsletter writer<\/p>\n
