I want to be clear that there’s nothing wrong with the Pore Power Exfoliating LHA + BHA Gel Cleanser or the Dew More Barrier-Boosting Moisturizer. Both do what they say they do. The gel cleanser left my skin feeling clean without that squeaky, stripped feeling, and the moisturizer sat well under makeup and never triggered anything.
They just didn’t stand out to me the way the balm and the serum did. I’ve used a lot of gel cleansers and a lot of moisturizers, and while these are solid, they didn’t displace the favorites I already reach for. If you’re building a routine from scratch, the kit makes sense. If you’re adding to an existing one, I’d start with the two I loved and see how you feel.
Reale Actives Review: My Honest Verdict
Here’s where I landed: Reale Actives isn’t a replacement for prescription treatment, and I don’t think it’s trying to be. What it is, in my experience, is a genuinely well-formulated gentle-actives line that plays nicely with sensitive, acne-prone skin. For someone like me who came to it from the prescription-grade side and wanted to explore something less aggressive, it’s a solid alternative worth trying.
The cleansing balm and the mandelic acid serum are the two I’ll keep buying. The other two are perfectly good, just not personal game-changers. And at $28 to $39 a product, the pricing feels fair for what you’re getting, especially compared to the department-store options making similar claims. It’s not drugstore cheap, but it sits comfortably in the middle.
One thing worth saying plainly: If you’re currently on prescription treatments like I am, talk to your dermatologist before you change anything or start layering in new actives. Mandelic acid is gentle as far as exfoliants go, but “gentle” is relative, and your derm knows your skin and your prescriptions better than any review does.
