Finding a pair of jeans that fits your own body is one of the most difficult fashion tasks. But a pair of jeans that claims to work on everyone, regardless of body type? That’s a true unicorn. So when I heard that Anthropologie’s best-selling Pilcro Kayden Jeans were being released in a ton of new washes—and with sizing covering standard, petite, tall, plus, and adaptive—I needed to investigate ASAP.
I got my hands on the Kayden Jeans in the gorgeous, light Baby Blue Bell wash. Then, I spoke directly to Anthropologie’s Director of Brand Styling, Sasha Perryman, about how to style the season’s hottest denim. She helped me put together five looks to test out the wearability and versatility of the jeans. And spoiler alert: I am obsessed.
Keep reading for my full breakdown and review of the Kayden Jeans, how to style them, and more Pilcro favorites.
What is Pilcro?
Pilcro is one of Anthropologie’s in-house brands, alongside other editor favorites like Maeve and Celandine. Pilcro focuses on everyday, endlessly wearable basics that are the foundation of a capsule wardrobe. Denim, basic tees and tanks, and 100-percent cotton pieces make up the core of the label. Following the success of the Pilcro Kayden Jean and other denim styles, Anthropologie launched a Pilcro fall denim collection featuring new silhouettes, washes, textures, and patterns.
The Pilcro Kayden Jeans
The Pilcro Kayden jeans are a barrel shape that is relaxed, slouchy, and designed to work on any and all body types. They come in standard, petite, tall, and plus sizing, with some washes available in adaptive styles as well. The Pilcro Kayden High-Rise Carpenter Barrel Jeans are one of Anthropologie’s hero jeans styles. They’re also the one that inspired the full denim collection. As a mid-size gal, a huge fan of Pilcro’s Izzie Jeans, and a barrel pants loyalist, I had to try them out for myself.

How to Style the Pilcro Kayden Jeans
I got to chat with Sasha Perryman, Anthropologie’s Director of Brand Styling, about how to style the Kayden Jeans. “The Kaydens might just be my favorite Pilcro denim silhouette yet. They’re effortlessly wearable, easy to dress up or down, and instantly add that cool, laid-back feel to any look,” Perryman said.
For your weekend runaround
“The Blue Bell wash is the perfect canvas for a romantic, feminine blouse. I love letting the lighter denim take a supporting role so the top becomes the focal point,” Perryman said. “Finish the look with a barely-there flat in a pop of color for an outfit that feels polished, playful, and easy to throw on.”

For happy hour
Building off of Sasha’s styled look, I swapped out the flats and tote bag for a pair of minimalist flip-flops and a small bag to take it from day to night. This is exactly the kind of outfit I would wear to grab drinks and apps on a patio with my girlfriends.

For brunch and shopping
When the weather starts to cool down, I’ll be swapping out the breezy tank and sandals pairing for a knit poncho and ballet flats. Wearing the jeans with this poncho really showed me that this denim style can work with any top silhouette.

For a night out or a date
One of my favorite parts about the Kayden jeans is that they can truly be dressed up or down. Sasha shared a simple way to dress them up: “Pair them with a modern blouse and subtle kitten heel for a day to evening look. Or, my personal favorite, a night out with the girls.”

For the office
If your office allows you to wear jeans, the Kayden is a perfect, work-appropriate denim choice. They’re polished, but add a little bit of fun to your workwear wardrobe (which can get stale from time to time). Wear them with a textured blouse, a tote bag, and a unique pair of flats for a look that lets your personal style shine.
