Halloween isn’t even here yet, but it’s never too early to start thinking about holiday decorations, especially when there are already deals on smart, programmable lights. If you want your house, tree, fireplace, or whatever else to stand out this year, Govee’s Christmas String Lights 2 are on sale starting at $74.99 ($25 off) at Amazon and directly from Govee for the 66-foot version, matching the best price we’ve seen this year. Larger sizes are also on sale, with the 99-foot version going for $96.99 ($33 off) and the 164-foot set going for $149.99 ($50 off). The largest of the four, the 328-foot set, is on sale for $259.99 ($140 off).
Despite their name, the smart string lights aren’t just good for Christmas. You can customize the color of individual LEDs, making it easy to switch from spooky Halloween colors to a more festive red and green a few weeks later, and any color in between. You can also choose from over 130 of Govee’s preset lighting effects within its app, or even flex your own creative muscles and make your own personalized light shows. And if you’re throwing a party, Govee even offers a music-syncing mode in its app that lets the lights change color in time with your favorite songs.
The lights are IP65-rated for weather resistance, so you can hang them along your staircase, wrap them around your Christmas tree, or use them to decorate your porch outside. They also support Matter, so you can control them with your voice via Amazon’s Alexa, Google Assistant, and other major smart home platforms.
